The Waterfront was a different movie than what I am used to. It is a story about a certain mafia, but the partners in the gang are the big guys who rule the ship yards. Marlin Brando, the lead character is a man with mixed emotions, through his brother and his uncle he is looped into this gang and finds himself getting into trouble. His consents and love affair put him in this never ending battle to be honest, in this risking relations with is family and his life.
I wouldn't call this movie "fun", in fact it keeps you on the edge of your chair most of the time, leaving you asking yourself what he should do. It is difficult to predict what Marlin's decision is going to be because he was so mysterious and aloof in a way, which made the film very suspenseful.
